Google at Gartner – Turning Infrastructure Into Inspiration
At the Gartner conference, Google showed up with purpose and creativity—activating three distinct spaces across the event, each tailored to a different type of audience engagement. From executive-level discussions to product-driven demos, every zone was designed to spark curiosity, invite connection, and reinforce Google’s leadership in cloud and enterprise solutions.
One of the most memorable challenges involved transforming a typically invisible component—Google’s data infrastructure—into an experience people couldn’t stop talking about. We reimagined a traditional server rack into an “infinity rack” installation, using mirrored panels and carefully tuned lighting to create a visual illusion that stretched endlessly in all directions. It became an unexpected centerpiece on the show floor—equal parts educational, sculptural, and photogenic.
As Design Director, I helped lead the narrative framing and spatial execution across all three environments, ensuring a consistent design language while allowing each moment to stand on its own. The data center installation in particular was a standout example of how we can make even the most technical topics feel human, immersive, and a little bit magical—in true Google fashion.
