Google Cloud Next ’22 – Reimagining Connection, Coast to Coast
When Google returned to in-person experiences in 2022, it didn’t just dip a toe back in — it went big. Google Next took over both coasts, with two high-energy activations designed to reengage audiences in ways that felt fresh, bold, and unforgettable.
In Sunnyvale, we turned an everyday Google office building into something completely unexpected: a hands-on playground built just for developers. Inside, the place buzzed with energy — spaces to code, collaborate, and connect, all designed to keep people moving, thinking, and building. Outside, the campus transformed into a festival-like atmosphere, full of curated experiences, casual hangouts, and little moments of surprise that kept people smiling.
I led the creative vision and design direction for both the East and West Coast activations, with my main focus on Sunnyvale. This was a chance to reimagine what a developer event could be — and should be. We tore down the notion of a stuffy, corporate tech show and replaced it with something more human, more playful, and more Google: practical, creative, and alive with possibility.
