Google Cloud Next '25
Google Next ’25 was nothing short of monumental — bringing over 40,000 attendees into a sprawling, multi-hall campus that turned Google Cloud’s vision of “innovation at scale” into something you could see, feel, and walk through.
As Senior Design Director, I led the charge on the full 3D creative execution — setting the vision, guiding an incredibly talented design team, and partnering closely with clients and internal teams to deliver something cohesive, impactful, and on an unbelievably fast timeline.
The centerpiece of it all was the Showcase — a massive, 75,000 sq. ft. innovation hub that broke away from the rigid, linear grid of the expo halls surrounding it. Instead, we created a space that flowed organically, inviting attendees into a more intuitive, human-centered journey where every turn sparked discovery, connection, and interaction.
Beyond the Showcase, I directed the creative for the event’s signature sculptural brand moments — bold, architectural statements that became instant photo magnets and defined the event’s identity. I also led the design of premium, high-touch activations sprinkled across the campus — moments of surprise and delight that reminded everyone just how thoughtful and approachable the Google experience can feel.
We leaned heavily on Unreal Engine to bring the vision to life during development, building a full-scale, virtual version of the Showcase so the team could understand its complexity and nuances long before it became reality. From there, we meticulously detailed every element — producing comprehensive drawings and documentation that translated seamlessly from vision to fabrication and installation.
What I loved most about this project was how every decision, big and small, reflected Google’s ethos: modular yet monumental, innovative yet approachable. The end result wasn’t just a showcase of technology — it was a living, breathing future you could step into. Human, inspiring, and unforgettable.
