Google NRF '24
In 2024, Google set out to raise the bar on how it shows up at industry events — aiming for something more unified, more flexible, and built to keep pace with a fast-changing world. The challenge was exciting: design a modular kit of parts that could adapt to any show, any audience, anywhere, without losing that unmistakable Google feel.
I helped lead the creative vision and development of this new system, which made its first big splash at the National Retail Federation (NRF) show. We designed it to strike the perfect balance: clean and elevated, yet practical and endlessly adaptable. Every element was intentional — giving teams the freedom to tell fresh, audience-specific stories while staying grounded in a consistent, recognizable brand language.
The NRF installation doubled as a showcase and a test drive. It flexed beautifully — accommodating different screens, content stories, and demo formats, all while feeling cohesive and polished. From modular architecture to warm materials and dynamic lighting, the space invited people in and made it easy to see what Google was all about.
Since that debut, the kit has become more than just a solution — it’s become the blueprint. Now it’s traveling beyond U.S. borders and showing up at global events, proving itself as a flexible, future-ready system that helps Google show up boldly, wherever the story needs to be told.
