Google Cloud Next ’23 – Leading Design Across Google Cloud’s Flagship Event
Google Next ’23 was more than just a comeback — it was a statement. The full-scale return of Google Cloud’s biggest in-person event brought together a huge, diverse audience through a vibrant mix of environments, content, and experiences. It was a landmark moment, not just in size, but in creative ambition.
As Design Director, I had the privilege of shaping the creative vision and spatial design across the entire experience. From the very first impression — bold, high-impact entrances that set the tone the moment you arrived — to immersive feature zones like the Innovators Hive, I worked to make every touchpoint feel intentional, inspiring, and unmistakably Google.
My role spanned it all, from blue-sky ideation to fine-tuning the final details on site. Balancing narrative, functionality, and aesthetic cohesion, we crafted an attendee journey that felt seamless, dynamic, and alive with possibility.
What I love most about this project? It didn’t just showcase the power of Google Cloud — it showed what a flagship tech event can feel like when every detail is designed with care, creativity, and a clear point of view.
