Google Cloud Next '24
Google Next ’24 took over San Francisco with more than 30,000 attendees, all coming to explore what’s next in cloud, AI, and digital transformation. From hands-on developers to global enterprise leaders, the event was designed to meet every audience where they were — and move them forward.
As the Design Director across the entire experience, I drove the creative vision from big-picture concepts to the tiniest on-site details. The scale was massive — over 55,000 square feet of environments, including headline spaces like the Innovators Hive and Executive Track, plus a series of sculptural brand installations woven throughout the venue.
This was one of those projects where you have to zoom way out and way in — and I loved every bit of it. My role was both holistic and hands-on: setting the creative tone, aligning dozens of teams around a unified design language, and ensuring that every space — from the main stage to tucked-away lounges — felt distinctly, undeniably Google. I stayed deeply involved in the design development, material storytelling, attendee flow, and cross-disciplinary collaboration that brought it all to life.
The Innovators Hive became the heartbeat of the event — an interactive, content-rich hub buzzing with builders and developers. Meanwhile, the Executive Track delivered a completely different vibe: polished, quiet, and curated for Google’s most senior guests. I worked to craft smooth transitions, thoughtful pacing, and tactile details that made every space feel intentional and immersive.
From day-one visioning to final, on-the-ground refinements, my goal was simple: to create a world that felt as innovative, human, and inspiring as Google Cloud itself — and to make sure every attendee, no matter who they were, felt like they belonged in it.
